isituprightnow is an uptime monitoring service for websites, APIs and servers. It checks at regular intervals whether your services respond and tells you the moment something goes down, before your customers do. Besides alerts, it gives you a public status page where users can see for themselves whether there's a problem and when it was fixed.
What it can monitor
Not every outage looks the same, so isituprightnow has several kinds of checks:
- HTTP(S): does the site answer with the expected status code?
- Keyword: the page contains (or doesn't contain) a given text. This catches servers that respond but show an error.
- Ping and TCP port: for servers, databases and services that aren't websites.
- Heartbeat: for scheduled (cron) jobs. The job sends a signal on every run, and if the signal doesn't arrive, you get an alert.
- SSL certificate and domain expiry: you find out early, not on the day browsers start showing warnings.
- DNS and UDP, for the less common cases.
No false alarms
The most annoying thing about an uptime monitor is an alert triggered by a single failed request at 3 a.m. That's why isituprightnow doesn't mark a service as down after the first error: the check has to fail twice in a row before an alert goes out. The system is also built for multi-region confirmation, where an outage is confirmed only when at least two locations see it.
You can also set a delay threshold, so the alert goes out only after a few minutes of downtime, and repeat alerts until someone acknowledges them.
Alerts where you actually read them
Alerts can go to email, a webhook, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Telegram, Pushover, a push notification, SMS or even a voice call. SMS and voice calls use prepaid credits.
The Android app has a special mode for critical outages: the alert takes over the screen and rings like an alarm, with quiet hours you set yourself, so a test site won't wake you up.
Status pages
A status page saves your support team from the same ten "is it down for you?" emails. In isituprightnow you can make it public, password-protected or private, put it on your own domain and give it your brand color. Visitors can subscribe by email to hear when an incident starts or gets resolved, and for planned work you set maintenance windows so it doesn't count as downtime.
For teams and developers
- Teams with roles and an audit log.
- A REST API with access keys, so you can create and manage monitors from code.
- Weekly or monthly uptime reports by email.
- Two-factor authentication and a list of active sessions.
- Built-in protection: checks and webhooks can't target private network addresses.
If you move to a smaller plan, monitors over the limit are paused, not deleted.
In English and Romanian
The site, emails, alerts and mobile app are fully available in English and Romanian, not just a half-translated interface.
When you can use it
isituprightnow is in the final stage before launch and will have a free plan, with no credit card required. Follow Genstackcore for the launch announcement and for posts on how it works inside, from outage confirmation to phone alerts. Up-to-date details are on isituprightnow.com.
